Singapore promotes racial harmony, but how far does the unity of a color of a person go?
Free thinkers, Muslims, taoists, christians, so many religions which teach a good way of life yet theres a vast difference between all of them.
Religion IS a sensitive issue and it is something that I've been intrigued about recently. In my younger days, I was miss goody two shoes who always attended church and was the most faithful in attending cell group. Then I became a teen and I started partying and living the hard core way.
How the change came about - I'm not so sure, but it doesn't matter. What matters now is the root of why I became a Christian and why I'm still a Christian. I wouldn't say that my foundation in Christ is very strong. Like if I were to be martyred for Christ, I see the possibility of denying him to save my human life.
And recently, a very important question has been rolling around in my head. Why exactly am I a Christian. What's the difference with me believing in something when I'm the same as every other person.
Why be a Christian? Why believe in something? A free thinker may have very good values but is not a Christian. So why. Why do people believe in what they believe?
