Meeting up with you just doesn't seem the same anymore. But I just can't seem to put my finger on why.

Maybe we just have so much to catch up on we're both fighting to talk. Or maybe there's just too many things that I don't know about you anymore. Maybe we're just too caught up in our own lives. The possibilities are endless.

It's just different. We're talking, normally and all, yet something just feels missing. Why is it that it all seems so normal yet feels so distant?

This friendship, how long more will it last? All the rocky times we've been through, our character clashes from way back, our tiffs, our arguments. The time I was this close to giving up on our friendship, but with the words of a very wise colleague, I decided to hang on. 6 years of friendship. Will it just end like that?

We may have different ways of showing concern for each other, but being the one who seems to care more about the friendship is really draining. Maybe it's not true that I'm the one putting more effort into the friendship, and it's not supposed to matter - how much one puts in  effort or whatsoever.

But put yourself in my shoes, I hold a full time job and two part times, yet on my off days, I ask you out for dinner because I miss talking to you. And your recent streak of emo tweets is a cause for concern. Yet till the day we were going to meet, there were still no concrete plans. My off days are too precious to be spent wasted at home. So if you're gonna bail on me at least tell me early so I can plan other things.

And just to meet up, I have to ask you countless times where we're meeting and what time and all. And after so many times, because you're trying to prove a point to someone else, I don;t get a reply till like late afternoon when we're meeting for dinner.

I get that you're busy and all with school, but I'm busy too with work.

My colleague told me the other time as well " Everyone moves on in life.If she's so caught up in her own life that she doesn't include you in it, then you'll just have to move on too."

I guess she's right.
